Re-laying a patio

Recently we were tasked with relaying a sunken patio and coping. After lifting the tiles and compacting the base, it had obviously sunken by a good 2inches. When it had been previously laid, they must have rushed the compacting stage before laying the pavers. As well as this, the edging tiles had only been set with sealant and plastic packers. See the last photo for how it looks now it had been relaid and edging set with mortar.
